Well I spent my whole email time writing essays for the scholarship application to BYU and have no time to write you all a beautiful letter today. My apologies. Needless to say it was a great week. I decided that the only thing I will share with you this week is that of what I learned at Zone conference. President Christensen taught us about a cycle. He old us that Conversion turns us into a disciple, being a disciple gives us power, and power coverts us further. Each of those can also lead to the other as well. He taught us that many us may have been/ or may be accidental disciples. Its not something we consciously work at. it just happened. Then He told us he wanted us to be deliberate disciples. He wants us to choose to do the things that will make us a true disciple of Jesus Christ and work for it. In order to do this we must Plan. Plan out our life, plan out every detail, plan what you will be doing and where you will be tomorrow and the next week and the next month and so on. Plan who you will become. Plan it more meticulously than you plan your classes at college or your tweets on twitter. Who do you want to be in 5-10 years? What kind of discipleship do you want to obtain? Plan it. He told us we need to study. Study the scripture and the words of the prophets. Those words make a huge difference in your day. Study them daily! Take time to sharpen the saw before you go out trying to cut down a few hundred trees with a dull saw! He told us we need Exact Obedience. We need to trust in our coach (Heavenly Father) even when we don't know why He asks us to do certain things. He knows better. Do as He says and you will succeed, you will be a powerfully converted disciple of the Christ. He told us to Discipline ourselves. He told us to focus on Christ-like attributes and included in that is refinement! He taught us about sincere prayer and an account of our day each night on our knees to the Lord. Well President is an inspired man and Jesus Christ lives. The Lord is in the details of our lives and He will help us to BECOME. Let us strive to become the disciples Christ wants us to be. In the name of The Master, Jesus Christ, Amen.
